Why is the silence in heaven striking?

Revelation 8:1 (ESV)

1 When the Lamb opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.

This is striking because earlier chapters had related that there was a lot of noise in heaven, even continuous noise (see Revelation 4:8, Revelation 4:9–11).
