The clearest demonstration of God’s love for us (his people) is seen in the work of the Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 5:1–11; 1 John 3:16). In Jesus Christ, the goodness of God has been revealed in all its riches (Romans 2:4; 2 Corinthians 10:1; Ephesians 2:7; Colossians 3:12; Titus 3:4).
In the person of Jesus Christ God himself came to make his dwelling among us (John 1:1–14; 1 John 1:1–4). Through his Holy Spirit, God lives in believers (1 Corinthians 3:16). We no longer need to go to a physical temple to meet with God, we meet with God in his Word through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ is the true temple of God (John 2:19–22) through whom we have access to the Father (Hebrews 10:19–25).
