How does the first lamentation end?

Lamentations 1:22 (ESV)

22 “Let all their evildoing come before you, and deal with them as you have dealt with me because of all my transgressions; for my groans are many, and my heart is faint.”

It ends with the realization of her pitiful state. Jerusalem's sighs are so many, and her heart is sick with misery.1 The only hope anticipated is God’s intervention of mercy over her and the judgment over her enemies. The first lament ends without hope, fading away like something that is lost and sinks away in deep waters. There is still no reply from God… .
