Deuteronomy 4:8 (ESV)

8 And what great nation is there, that has statutes and rules so righteous as all this law that I set before you today?

The distinctive covenant relationship that Israel enjoyed with the Lord bore a law that also was distinctive, since its author was the Lord, which made it a righteous law. The surrounding nations were to be impressed with the righteousness of this law.
