David prays that the Lord’s eyes would behold the right.
That is, David asks the Lord to examine his integrity in thought and deed.1 It is not as though David believes he is perfect. He simply calls upon God to render a resolution to his hardship, wherein he will be vindicated, shown to be in the right.
