Who led Saul into Damascus?

Acts 9:8 (ESV)

8 Saul rose from the ground, and although his eyes were opened, he saw nothing. So they led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus.

Saul’s travelling companions helped him go into the city. They took him to the house of Judas on Straight Street (Acts 9:11). Straight Street is the name given to the main east-west road running through the centre of Damascus. It is likely that wealthy individuals occupied the houses on this street.1
