Commentary on Exodus 7:6 (Summary)

Exodus 7:6 (ESV)

6 Moses and Aaron did so; they did just as the LORD commanded them.

Moses and Aaron obey God and take his message to Pharaoh—perhaps with heavy hearts, but they are going! Compare this with Exodus 7:10: they did as the Lord commanded!

This was almost unexpected, after Moses’ multiple objections (Exodus 5:22–23; Exodus 6:12, Exodus 6:30).
