32As for the cities of the Levites, the Levites may redeem at any time the houses in the cities they possess.
The Levites were given no tribal territory. Rather, they are given forty-eight cities with their surrounding pastures (Numbers 35:1–8; Joshua 21:1–42; 1 Chronicles 6:54–70).
