Malachi 4:4–6 (ESV)

4 “Remember the law of my servant Moses, the statutes and rules that I commanded him at Horeb for all Israel.

Inasmuch as the work of the Lord in this text is fulfilled in the person of Jesus Christ, the Son of God incarnate, we see Christ in these verses as preserver of his church, bringing reformation and return to ensure that when he, the Son of man comes, he will find faith on earth (Luke 18:8).
