1. Leviticus 13:37 (ESV)
  2. Exposition

What if the infection does not spread?

Leviticus 13:37 (ESV)

37 But if in his eyes the itch is unchanged and black hair has grown in it, the itch is healed and he is clean, and the priest shall pronounce him clean.

If the sore has not spread and black hair is growing on the sore, then the person is clean. This is the second time in the chapter where the verb “heal” occurs (see also Leviticus 13:18). But it is the only occurrence in this chapter where it is related to the healing of skin diseases.
